The Institute in Photographic Studies is pleased to announce PWP Lite—a new course for your community! This local two-day workshop is designed to bring quality and affordable photographic training to your doorstep, while helping the casual or hobby photographer improve his or her images immediately! Prizewinning Photography
Prizewinning Photography is a week-long course in the fundamentals of professional photography. Starting with basics such as what a camera is and how it works, we daily build to more and more advanced concepts such as lighting, exposure, and portraiture through hands-on experience and individualized instruction by qualified photographers. Class size is limited to 25.
Prizewinning Photography 2
Prizewinning Photography 2 is a week-long course that includes everything we can't fit in Prizewinning Photography. Special emphasis will be paid to the worlds of digital imaging and people photography. Class size is limited to 25.
Landscape Photography Workshop
Find out everything you wanted to know about creating phenomenal landscape images. For three short days, twelve photographers will view the great outdoors through professional photographers' lenses–and their own.
Photojournalism
This five-day workshop will train you to influence the worldview of those around you as you learn to invest emotional impact, conceptual ideas, and photographic analogies into your images. Class size is limited to 10.
Portraiture & Lighting
Our newest course, Portraiture & Lighting is designed especially for students looking to increase their skill in portraiture. Prizewinning Photography is a pre-requisite for this week-long study in creative lighting and artistic portraiture. Class size is limited to 10.
Pixel This
Pixel This advanced course is designed to help you master all aspects of digital imaging, from using your digital camera to outputting your images. Techniques for image enhancement and manipulation, lessons on print and Web production, and how the principles of photography apply in the digital world are just a few of the topics you'll cover. Class size is limited to 10.
The New Zealand Experience
This unique course offers a blend of intermediate photography, international travel, and intense discipleship over a two-week term. Students are taken through the rolling green hills of New Zealand's North Island to the rugged grandeur of the South Island in what can only be described as "an experience."
Continuing Education
Continuing Education courses build on the lessons of the week-long courses with practical projects under the tutelage and guidance of an experienced instructor.
